Photographer in the spot light

Photographer April Stout is a photographer based out of Bozeman Montana. April joined us on our Spring horse drive workshop. She is not only extremely talented, she also is so much fun to be around! April has shared with us some of her beautiful images that she captured during our workshop!!!

Our next workshop is June 5th, 2010 and we still have spots available. All participants will each receive over a hundred dollars of gifts and lab credits!!!

I have watched the horse drive with my kids standing on main street every year since
they started running them through town. Having the opportunity to be right in the
heart of the action, close up and personal, was amazing.  I love the images I was able
to capture and have received many wonderful compliments.
Val and Stephanie, thank you for putting your time and effort into creating such an
exciting experience. I learned a lot, had a blast, and can't wait to do it again
next year!

Photographer Laura Horvath

Laura Horvath has a contagious happy personality. She has a passion for photography and she is in the constant pursuit of educating herself on the complexities of photography. She has attended a couple of our photography workshops and always impresses us with her eagerness to learn and her ability to take professional images.

Great photographers rely on a learned knowledge that has been acquired through study. This is necessary to become a complete photographer which allows you to nurture and develop as much as you can. If you develop only one skill or talent and discard the rest as boring or unnecessary, you will miss out on what will make you successful in the complex world of photography today.

Laura is on her way of becoming a great photographer! To see some of her work

2010 Montana Horse Drive/Photography Workshop Val Westover Photography & Stephanie Adriana Fine Art Photography Western Collection

Dear Val and Stephanie

Have just watched the slide show of this year's horse drive.  Absolutely stunning!!  You two are phenomenally  talented and you wear it so lightly and then POW! the power is in the pictures and it hits you smack between the eyes.
Every one is a winner.  Love it, love it, love it!
It's amazing guys, thank you for sharing it with us.  What a gift.
I'm going to watch it again!
Love Laura

Horses, wranglers, photographers and just down to earth good people. The 2010 Montana horse drive in Three Forks Montana draws in thousands of spectators to experience and see hundreds of horses that are moved over 37 miles through rugged terrain and through the streets of Three Forks. Wednesday, Val Westover and Stephanie Adriana helped set up camp and finalize preparations. Thursday, they picked up the participants at the airport.
Friday, they jumped on their horses along with the other wranglers and rounded up hundreds of horses across hundreds of acres and corralled them for the drive. Saturday, they picked up the photographers and shadowed the horse drive capturing incredible images. Sunday, they jumped back on their horses and helped move the horses 17 more miles to their final destination.
The horses, the incredible landscape, the photography, the people, the life altering experience... "It's too hard to put into words what we experienced."

Wings

Here are some images that I took the other night right before photographing a group of 22 people. Needless to say, I didn't have much time to get these images but the birds were very cooperative and I have a huge soft spot in my heart for birds. These images are available for purchase.
