October Kids Contest!

Dear Val,

My family just returned from a Caribbean cruise (yesterday) and I took these three pictures during our vacation. I took the first two photos, of the turtle and lizard, at the Turtle Farm in Grand Cayman. I took the third photo of the bird in Cozumel, Mexico. I hope you like them. I tried all week to take a special animal picture to send to you.

What an incredible night! After photographing Mr. and Mrs. Redfern with their 8 grandchildren, we ended the night with a silhouette of the Morgans 3 beautiful children.

Stephanie Adriana had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful couple. She said that Terrell and Karega made this photo shoot so much fun, she didn't want it to end. After spending so much time with them, she hopes to photograph their wedding next year.

October in Southern California

October is one of my favorite times of year to photograph families. The colors start to shift, the air is so clear and the sunsets are so amazing. This slide show is just a very small glimpse at some of the families that were photographed this month. Enjoy!

This is a shot I took of my Papa and my mantis, Ernest. Papa didn’t want to even hold Ernest much less have him on his back, but he finally agreed. Papa tried to act cool until Ernest climbed up his neck and then he freaked out!

Dog Vogue

ladera Ranch knows how to kick off an Oktoberfest! Kids and Dogs in Halloween costumes, food, beer and did I mention food? I wish I could show you every photo that I took, it was a great family day!

Robert Santaella

The "Ladera Ranch Magazine" is doing a story about Robert in their next issue and I had the pleasure of photographing this amazing boy. Robert was diagnosed May 2007 with ewings sarcoma (cancer) in his left leg. He is being treated at the UCLA Medical Center.
Robert plays Little League and Flag Football. He enjoys fishing,golf and of course, skateboarding. Robert has such an incredible spirit, I truly was touched photographing him. You can tell that his parents, Lou and Rita, adore him. Besides having a cool brother, Robert has many friends who offer him so much support.

Ladera Flower Shoppe Photo Shoot

Here are two incredible pieces that we shot yesterday for the Ladera Flower Shoppe. We want to thank Kelly Santos, owner and designer for giving us the opportunity to photograph these beautiful works of art. These arrangements were designed by Terri Dahmen the shoppes lead designer. We also want to thank Lauren Shorey, a new designer, for all of her creative ideas.
